DATForum is the annual meeting point for the European digital assistive technology industry: manufacturers, distributors, publishers, service providers and the professionals who work alongside them.
The 2027 edition takes place in Rome and, for the first time, brings together a high-level conference and an exhibition area featuring DATEurope member companies. The programme will bring internationally renowned experts and industry professionals together for discussion, networking and hands-on demonstrations of the latest innovations in digital assistive technology.
Self-determination for people with disability means being able to communicate, control and manage one’s home environment, access and use a computer, study, play, and take an active part in social life. It also means the opportunity to pursue education, develop skills and access meaningful employment: the steps towards personal fulfilment, economic independence and full inclusion in society.
Through presentations, discussions, demonstrations and networking, DATForum 2027 will show how innovation in digital assistive technology creates greater opportunities for autonomy, participation and inclusion.
DATForum 2027 is a unique opportunity to connect with companies, professionals, researchers, investors and other stakeholders, discover new solutions and exchange knowledge and expertise.
The exhibition area runs alongside the conference and sits directly beside the plenary, so delegates can explore and experience the latest technologies first-hand, presented by leading manufacturers and companies in the sector.
The full programme of sessions and speakers will be announced here in due course.
Every full ticket covers both days, including the DATForum dinner on the 19th April.
Some of the people who would most improve the conversation are the least likely to have a travel budget: public sector representatives, clinicians, academics and user organisations. Members and sponsors can cover the registration fee for stakeholders they want in the room, and are publicly credited as supporters. It is a direct way to build relationships with the people who decide what gets funded and specified.

Centro Congressi Cavour, Via Cavour 50/a, 00184 Rome, in the heart of the city and four minutes’ walk from Roma Termini.
The conference, the exhibition, the catering and the evening events all sit within a short walk of each other and of the recommended hotels. There are no coach transfers and no cross-city journeys.
That is deliberate. An association whose members build technology for people with disabilities should run an event people can actually move around. Access requirements can be flagged during registration, and full access information for the venue, the hotels and the routes between them will be published here before the event.
The exhibition sits beside the plenary, in the flow of the whole event rather than down a corridor. There are eight booths, sold first come, first served.
Standard and Early-Bird booths are sold include one delegate pass; additional delegate passes are purchased separately. Headline Partner includes a booth, passes and the extras above, and is open to more than one sponsor.
